The PASIG Steering Committee is reconvening...
The Preservation and Archiving Special Interest Group (PASIG) is dedicated to advancing the practice of digital preservation and archiving.
PASIG events bring together practitioners, industry experts and researchers to share practical experiences, successes, and lessons learned. Topics include:
Guidelines, best practice, assessment and audit criteria, and standards
Architectures, designs, workflows, and deployments
Tools, systems, and services
Trends, directions, and emerging products and solutions
Practical case studies, reviews, and findings
Comparisons and choices (e.g. open source or proprietary, onsite or hosted, customized or standardized)
While we may occasionally discuss standards, PASIG is not a standards-setting organization. We welcome discussions about theory, research, and policy when they have a direct and tangible impact on current digital preservation practice.
PASIG events provide participants three main benefits:
Providing a platform for practitioners to come together and share information, designs, and good practice.
Bringing digital preservation practitioners and service providers together to inform market development and help practitioners discover the best solutions available.
Advancing digital preservation practice in organizations around the world, regardless of their size, industry, content, or experience.
